Member Benefits

Dallas County Dental Society is the local component of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association. This tripartite arrangement works hard to protect your profession not only locally, but at a state and national level. Dallas County Dental Society members receive ALL membership benefits offered by the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

Continuing Education and Conferences (Saving $1,200+ annually)

DCDS’s Southwest Dental Conference and TDA's The TDA Meeting registration fees are covered, as are CE credits at most DCDS General Membership Meetings. Discounts for many other continuing education courses offer opportunities to learn new skills relevant to your career.

Financial Resources (Saving $38,000+)

Student loan repayment can be refinanced and disability insurance purchased with great discounts. TDA Perks and ADA member programs have researched and negotiated substantial discounts for dental practice services and products.

Conflict Resolution (Saving $1,000+)

DCDS works in conjunction with TDA in the Peer Review process to resolve disputes concerning the quality and/or appropriateness of dental treatment to avoid involving the State Board. This process also handles utilization review resulting from differences of opinions between doctors and third party carriers.

Hiring Assistance

DCDS members have first opportunity to hire fully trained graduates from the DCDS Dental Assisting School, our state-of-the-art learning center. Members can also post job listings for no charge on our on-line job bank, and in our newsletter for a minimal fee.

Government Advocacy

From local grassroots efforts (DCDS) to connecting with state (TDA) and national (ADA) legislators, we work tirelessly on your behalf to influence public policies affecting the practice of dentistry and the oral health of the public. Tools and assistance are also available for compliance/regulatory challenges.

Mentorship/Networking

Membership in DCDS provides the opportunity to cultivate mentor-mentee relationships; and to network with over 1,300 colleague dentists in the Dallas area, 8,800 in Texas and over 161,000 nationwide. DCDS Membership mailing address labels are available to members.

Communications

Printed and online versions of DCDS Connection, the official publication of Dallas County Dental Society, are provided to members; as are TDA and ADA publications. These communications are aimed at keeping you connected to relevant news, research and expert advice that is not available outside of membership.

Promotion for Your Practice

Our free referral program to the public seeking a dentist includes ADA’s Find-a-Dentist database, which is advertised greatly via social media. An online pictorial membership roster (an excellent referral source!) is also available through Find-a-Dentist. Additionally, ADA provides an extensive amount of information on marketing your practice and other resources for practice management success.

Community Service Opportunities

We can connect you to service opportunities that utilize your dental skills. In addition to making a difference by helping others, volunteering increases job skills and helps you network with colleague dentists.
