The midterm elections are coming up on November 3, 2026, and it is important for all of us to exercise our right to vote. If you have found yourself concerned about issues such as rising prices or fuel costs, voting is one way to make your voice heard.

Voting is an essential part of our democracy. Many people have fought to protect our freedoms, and participating in elections is one way we can fulfill our civic responsibility. There are many high-profile races on the ballot this year, and many political observers believe that voter turnout could play a significant role in determining the outcomes.

Texas is expected to be one of the most closely watched states in this election cycle. To prepare before heading to the polls, voters are encouraged to review a sample ballot for their local precinct. Information about voting locations, voter registration, and sample ballots can be found through local election offices or at VoteTexas.gov.

In addition to statewide races, voters will also have the opportunity to weigh in on judicial elections, including seats on the Texas Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals. Dallas County residents may also be asked to consider local measures related to funding programs and resources for individuals experiencing homelessness.

To avoid long lines on Election Day, voters may choose to take advantage of early voting. Early voting is scheduled to begin on October 19 and continue through October 30.
