Part of what sets the Dallas County Dental Society (DCDS) apart from other professional organizations is our intense passion and dedication to serving our community. In our most recent blog, we shared with you how our members’ participation with the Attitudes & Attire™ Hopeful Smile Program is improving smiles for women whose smiles have been damaged as a result of violence, poverty, neglect and illness. By partnering with like-minded organizations such as this one, we’ve been able to expand our reach to help even more people in need.
Attitudes & Attire™ Hopeful Smile Program was uplifting and truly demonstrated how impactful this program is. Her story is one that gives hope to other woman in similar circumstances. And hers isn’t the only success story our members have had the opportunity of contributing to.
Dr. Paulino Castellon, a DCDS member, participates in the program through his dental practice, Dallas Prosthodontics. In 2013-2014, he worked with Angeline to help repair and restore her smile, giving her confidence and a smile that lights up any room she walks into. It was a rewarding experience that Dr. Castellon was proud to be a part of.
“We’ve been associated with Hopeful Smiles™ for over four years, and there is no greater feeling than to be in a position to give someone their life back through their smile,” said Castellon. “My experience with Hopeful Smiles’ patients has been more than rewarding. The impact we’re able to make on the patient’s life is as gratifying to us as it is to them.”
Stories like these are made possible by our amazing DCDS members. At DCDS, our members truly change lives by giving their time and talents to provide dental care to those most in need.
