Whether you’re searching for opportunities to expand your knowledge of dentistry, interested in strengthening your professional network or simply looking for ways to give to back to your community utilizing your dental skills, a membership with the Dallas County Dental Society (DCDS) can help you check any or all of these off your list. Our organization is committed to serving the needs of the community and providing an atmosphere and support system where our members can grow and flourish in their dental careers. The benefits of a DCDS membership are abundant. Here are four of those benefits.
- Broaden your knowledge: Helping our members stay current on the latest information and technology in dentistry is one of our priorities, which is why registration for our Southwest Dental Conference is included as a part of your annual dues. This annual regional conference offers an array of dental continuing education (CE) courses and highlights emerging trends and technologies in the dental field. Our members can also gain CE credits by attending seminars and general membership meetings.
- Give back to your community: One of DCDS’s principal passions is supporting our community. You’ll find a number of ways to use your talents to help others through programs like our Alliance of DCDS and DCDS Foundation. We also provide community support through service projects such as Dentists with a Heart, Give Kids a Smile and via our partnership with Attitudes & Attire.
- Expand your client base: As a member of DCDS, you’re automatically added to our dental database. Because we provide free referrals to the public needing a dentist, we’ll send clients your way who may be located in your service area.
Peer Review: Try as we might, sometimes a misunderstanding with a patient arises, and it may require some outside help. As a DCDS member, you’ll have access to our peer review mediation service. This member perk will help you resolve problems or misunderstandings between you and your patients
Not only will you be able to take advantage of these great member benefits, you’ll build lasting relationships with a great network of fellow dental providers. As an added bonus, DCDS members receive all the membership benefits offered by the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association. To qualify for membership, you must be a licensed dentist in the state of Texas with a primary practice located in Dallas County. Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry faculty and graduate students are also eligible. Are you ready to become member?
